When is the cut off for RSVPs?
The final cut off date for RSVPs is the 9th March 2024. This is so that we can give a final headcount to our caterers, ensure your dietary requirements can be met and finalise our plans for the day. If we haven't had your RSVP by the 4th March we'll get in touch to remind you! Please fill out the RSVP form even if you aren't able to make it!
Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately due to budget and space limitations we can't welcome plus ones. We have made sure we've invited all of our nearest and dearest so we request that only those named on the invitation attend. Thank you for your understanding!
What is the dress code?
There is no official dress code! As long as you feel fabulous we're happy!
Are children welcome?
Of course! We can't wait to see your little ones!
How do I get to the venue?
The ceremony and reception are taking place in the same venue so there's only one address to remember: Hexham Winter Gardens, Queen Elizabeth High School, Whetstone Road, Hexham, NE46 3JB. Directions to the venue and more information can be found here.
Is there parking at the venue?
Whilst there is adequate parking at the venue during the day the car park closes at 11.30pm and you will be unable to leave your car overnight. We would recommend pre-booking a taxi to and from the venue. There are a number of local taxi firms:

Where can I stay?
Hexham is a small town with plenty of Hotels and holiday cottages available for hire. There's two bigger hotels in the town: The Beaumont Hotel (Best Western with bar and restaurant) and the Travelodge (cheap and cheerful). If you'd like to find somewhere else have a little look on booking.com, vrbo.com or airbnb.co.uk.
What is there to do locally?
If you are in the area for a day or two around the wedding there is plenty to get up to! Hexham is very close to Hadrian's wall and Vindolanda Roman Archaeological Site and the Roman Army Museum are well worth a visit. Should you wish to pop into Newcastle (about a half hour drive from Hexham) drop us a message for some recommendations! The north east coast is beautiful, Tynemouth has a fantastic sandy beach (perfect for a swim if you're feeling brave) and Marsden Beach has some amazing sea stacks (and is where we got engaged!). Will there be meal options for guests with dietary requirements?
Please check the menus and fill out the dietary requirements section on the RSVP form with any information we may need and we will ensure our caterers provide an alternative for you.
Will there be a bar?
Yes! Table wine is on us and then after the meal there will be a pay bar. We've chosen a company who's prices we think are reasonable so please make sure your bring your wallet!
What is the itinerary for the day?

Can I take photographs at the wedding?
We politely request that you don't take photos during the ceremony so that you can be fully present. For the rest of the day however we are more than happy for you to snap away and post to your hearts content on social media!
Do you have a gift registry?
We are thrilled that you are coming to our wedding to celebrate with us - that's the best gift of all! For our family and friends who feel they would like to give us a gift we have registered with The Wedding Shop for some bits and bobs to complete our home.

How will you update me if anything changes?
Should any of our plans for the day change we will contact you on the email address you provide on the RSVP form. It might be worth saving our email address (wedsammag@gmail.com) to your contacts so our emails don't end up in junk!
